Pilot Information

Pilot 1: Connected and Autonomous Vehicles

Location: Greece (AviSense.AI) and Italy (ALKE). Focus: Pilot 1 is focusing on 4D cooperative perception, decision-making approaches, and vehicle personalization solutions for increasing occupant comfort, addressing motion sickness, and improving safety indexes in interactions amongst Vulnerable Road Users. In this use case, we will utilize a vehicle equipped with PASEU's perception engine sensor suite, ALKE industrial electric vehicle and cloud platform, AviS's full simulation platform for developement, validation and testing.

Pilot 2: Adaptive Bus Public Services

Location: Cyprus (NPT, UCY). Focus: Pilot 2 aims to improve the transportation experience for handicapped people with reduced mobility and people with visual impairment in terms of safety, security, well-being, and health during the ride. In this use case around 20-30 disabled people will be recruited at the beginning of the project to start collecting data for 12 months about the way they use the bus service (e.g., frequency of rides, origin and destination, etc.).

Pilot 3: Adaptive Mini Buses

Location: Switzerland (TPG, UNIGE). Focus: Pilot 3 aims to provide door-to-door personalized services ensuring the safety and security of the AV’s occupants. The Av's will offer a 100% automated, on-demand, door-to-door service, allowing passengers to be picked up and delivered to their exact destination. Pilot 3 aims also to enable security and safety of the passengers with the AutoTRUST in-cabin monitoring solution. Further, the pilot aims to empower AI-based scenarios and event driven dataset generation. Lastly, pilot 3 will implement early detection and mitigation of security incidents (e.g., vandalism, fighting and etc) will be implemnted through various services.

Pilot 4: Adaptive Autonomous Taxi

Location: Focus: Pilot 4 is focusing on providing personalized adaptation to ensure a comfortable and safe service where passengers feel in control and are able to control the environment and get the assistance and service they need. This task will also deploy the appropriate procedures to perform the evaluation of the demonstrations carried out in the pilots' use cases, taking into account objective and subjective QoE evaluation, the feedback of the end-users, to verify the inclusiveness, performance and applicability of the AutoTRUST concept.
